The nature & size of the projects undertaken by J&P is diverse, varying from prestigious buildings with emphasis on high quality finishes, to airport complexes, pipelines, tank farms, infrastructure networks, and petrochemical complexes.

In the energy (oil and gas) and industrial sector, J&P has undertaken and successfully completed a wide range of projects in various countries, such as oil and gas pipelines, tank farms, petrochemical complexes, terminals, firefighting systems, etc.

In the buildings sector, J&P has undertaken the construction of five start hotels and resorts, office and industrial buildings, airport terminals etc.

In the heavy civil project sector, J&P has undertaken major infrastructure projects, such as bridges, highways, tunnels, airports, dams and irrigation. J&P's participation in the infrastructure projects in Greece, such as the Rion - Antirion suspended bridge and the Athens Ring Road BOT projects, the Egnatia and PAThE highways, is a proof of our ability to complete major projects.

In the project finance sector J&P has developed its credentials to structure and finance large capital projects involving multilateral financial institutions, commercial banks, export credit agencies etc. Our participation in the USD 560 million Rion - Antirion suspended bridge concession and construction joint ventures and the USD 1.25 billion Athens Ring Road BOT project is a testament of our capabilities in this field

J&P (O) Ltd has been working with the Oil Companies as well as other industrial corporations since 1963.

In the early days J&P successfully completed a number of civil and building contracts of various sizes and types in oil terminals, refineries, and various industrial sites.

Because of these early works, J&P's staff and tradesmen learned to work and abide by strict safety rules, high quality specifications and tight time targets, without exceeding the budgeted limits.

The evolution of the Company from a building and civil contractor to a mechanical and electrical (M&E) specialist was natural; after all J&P's primary markets are the oil-rich Middle East and Gulf countries.

In the early 80's a number of small to medium, but nevertheless diverse, mechanical and electrical contracts, such as repairs of steel tanks, fire safety systems, piping and instrumentation works, were won.

The successful completion of these early contracts, as well as others that followed, persuaded our Clients, which include the majority of Oil Companies, to include J&P in their lists of major M&E contractors.

As a result of its accumulated experience J&P has developed the capability of undertaking not only the supply and execution of the works, but a substantial part of the engineering.

Following is a brief outline of J&P's experience in the oil and industrial sectors.

a. Pipelines; gas, oil, multi-product, up to 36创.
  - Supply and installation of new pipelines, in all terrain (mountainous, desert, sand dunes, built areas) through cultivated and urban areas, varying from 8创 to 30创. The works included, valve stations, pig launchers and receivers, communication and control systems, and cathodic protection.
- Repair works to oil and gas pipelines up to 36创 in diameter.
- Replacements of valves in live gas lines (up to 36创), survey and replacement of repaired parts of crude oil pipelines in desert locations, as well as areas full of services, are some of such projects executed successfully.


b. Oil Gathering Stations; design, supply, fabrication and erection of manifolds, oil production trains, various pumps, fire fighting systems, instrumentation, infrastructure works, pipe racks, civil works and various RC buildings.

c. Off plot works; field developments, flow lines, water injection systems.
The water injection system built in Masrab, Libya, included all associated civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. The raw water lines were fiberglass and the high-pressure (7,500 psi) injection lines were joined using the positive seal coupling method.

d. On plot works; in refineries and oil terminals.
Design, supply, fabrication, erection and commissioning of all :
  - plant, turbines, valves
- piping prefabrication and erection
- instrumentation cables and control gear, electrical works, switch-gear, power plants, transformers
- civil works : such as foundations for plant infrastructure, buildings.


e. Tank farms; design, supply, erection, repair, commissioning.
  - New tank farms on turnkey basis. Design, supply, erection, commissioning of several fixed and floating roof steel tanks, varying from 5,000 to 300,000 bbl, for Crude oil and Oil products, including associated pipeworks, manifolds, electrical, instrumentation and civil works.
- Repairs of more than 50 existing steel tanks up to 500,000 bbl, used for storage of crude oil, and other fuel, some of which contained highly toxic elements such as lead.
- Lifting of tanks with hydraulic jacks, replacement, reconstruction of ring beams and / or asphalt bases, sand blasting and painting, hydro-testing, and construction of bund walls.


f. Fire fighting systems.
  - Design, supply, erection and commissioning of foam and / or sea water fire fighting systems (turnkey) in tank farms, as well as terminals and refineries.
- Sprinkler systems, wet and dry deluge, and hydrant network, computer room Halon gas system.


g. Heavy Civil Works in Refineries, Terminals and Concessions in desert locations.
  - Steel structures (design and build) for stores, workshops, airline hangars, garages. More than 500,000 m2 of such structures, up to the height of 50 m, complete with HVAC, smoke detection and fire fighting systems, compressed air networks and other utilities, depending on their use.
- Interconnecting services between plants, including pipeway bridges and sleepers, piperacks and other foundations, manholes, roads and pavements.
- Administration, recreation, and other reinforced concrete buildings in various locations.
- Infrastructure works , such as water and sewage treatment plants, road works, port facilities.
- Airstrips , more then eleven airstrips, 45 - 60 m width, 2,2 km length, including lighting, refueling stations, and other buildings, in various desert locations (concession camps, loading terminals etc).





J&P's multidiscipline background enables the company to act not merely as a general contractor, but should the Client wishes, as a partner as well.

Because of J&P's diversity, its access to the international markets, and the resourcefulness of its staff it has been able to provide not only the normal contracting services, in the form of lump-sum / turnkey projects, but to go beyond and assist the Client during the conceptual phase, provide spare parts, training, and even the running of certain facilities.
